We’re back in the building!

After months and months of waiting, The Nottingham New Theatre Building is finally back in action!

If you haven’t had a chance to take a look at it yet, you’ll be in for a treat when you next walk along Cherry Tree Hill and we can’t wait for you all to see it. Our newly renovated building boasts a huge foyer, rehearsal rooms, lots of added space and a world of potential!

And what better way to launch into a new era in our new and improved home than by taking a trip into an old one with Black Comedy by Peter Schaffer?!

Black Comedy

Kicking off this week, this farce like no other will leave audience members the only ones not groping around in the pitch black dark.
As the lights come up on the stage, lights on the action will go very much down.

Trapped in the middle of this chaos is Brindsley Miller. A man fighting desperately to conceal stolen antique furniture, hide a vengeful mistress from his fiancée and impress a deaf millionaire.

Alcohol bottles are mixed up with soft drinks and priceless antiques are left lying around. Oh and doors to cellar steps are left innocently open – it all swiftly descends into mayhem…

The show will run from  Wednesday 14th until Saturday 17th November with doors at 7pm for each evening performance.
There will also be a matinee on Saturday afternoon (doors at 2pm)

** Remember that tickets for the matinee are half-price for freshers **
– Tickets are just £4 for members, £5 for concessions and £8 for members of the public.
- There will be a Q&A on THURSDAY NIGHT with actors, director, producer, and production team!
